This is a fine example of four pieces coordinating to create a back rank make. The bishop, though looking vulnerable in the diagram, ends up protecting the mating rook on e8 and earlier covered the escape square on h7: 1.Qxf7+ Rxf7 2.Re8+ Rf8 3.Rxf8+ Kxf8 4.Re8#
