New York subway trains delayed due to poodle on the tracks
Published in Weird News
(UPI) Police in New York said subway riders faced a delay for an unusual reason -- a poodle that ran away from a dog park wandered onto the tracks.
The New York Police Department-Transit tweeted the A, C and F trains were delayed on Friday due to the hijinks of a poodle named Dakota.
"Dakota escaped from the dog park and -- you guessed it -- onto the tracks," transit police tweeted.
The tweeted thanked the Metropolitan Transit Authority for assisting with the canine's rescue from the tracks.
"Job well done by all, service back up & dog on the way to the vet for a minor injury -- Appreciate everyone's patience!" police said.
