Celebrity Travel: Go away with Kyla Pratt

Jae-Ha Kim, Tribune Content Agency on

A: Sunflower seeds. We were always on road trips when I was a kid and sunflower seeds just kept you busy. I found out recently they also can help keep you awake while on the road. Just try not to spill the bag of shells. That’s never fun to clean up.

Q: What kind of research do you do before you go away on a trip?

A: I usually like to go places where I know someone personally who has been so I can get any and all information I can. Of course, you have to be sure about the safety of the particular area you are staying in, as well as the culture, just to be clear (that) as a woman of color (where we go) isn’t going to be a major issue.

Q: What is your best and/or worst vacation memory?

A: Going to an all-inclusive resort and partaking in too much of the cheap all-inclusive alcohol. It usually does not set you up for a feel-good next day of vacationing. Just buy the top shelf and leave the bottom shelf alone.
