The Kitchn: Tonight we veg with Roasted Falafel-Spiced Tofu with Whipped Tahini

The rest is simple: Spread the spicy whipped tahini into shallow bowls, top with the tofu, then add some fresh herbs, red onion, and crunchy sliced cucumbers. Instead of wrapping the tofu in a pita, I like to serve the pita on the side, using it to mop up any remaining tahini.

Falafel-Spiced Tofu with Whipped Tahini

Serves 4

Prep time: 25 minutes to 30 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes to 35 minutes

1 (14 to 16-ounce) package extra-firm tofu, drained

 

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

3/4 teaspoon ground coriander

3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
