Rustic soup brings back warm family memories

1/4 cup (60 mL) tomato paste

1 large tomato, about 8 ounces (250 g), peeled, seeded, and chopped

2 or 3 large fresh basil leaves

2 or 3 sprigs fresh Italian parsley

1 sprig fresh thyme

1 sprig fresh rosemary

 

1/3 cup (85 mL) sherry wine vinegar

2 teaspoons sugar

Kosher salt

Freshly ground white pepper
