(UPI) A 29-pound cat referred to as Chubbs, arrived at the Human Society in Pasadena, Calif. recently after being brought in by a good samaritan.

Chubbs, a 10-year-old Himalayan mix, was found taking an afternoon walk down a busy street. The Pasadena Human Society noted that the cat was in need of grooming which took hours to complete and was suffering from painful mats located along his back.

Chubbs is currently living inside staff office space due to his weight which prevents him from fitting into a kennel.

The Pasadena Humane Society also announced that they are looking for the cat's owner as Chubbs has no microchip or ID tag.

The Twitter account for the Pasadena Humane Society posted a photo of the large feline and noted that if nobody appears to claim Chubbs, he will be available for adoption starting on Sunday.
