(UPI) Animal rescuers in Los Angeles came to the rescue of an indoor cat that escaped its home and ended up stranded halfway down a 100-foot cliff.

The Los Angeles Animal Services' Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team shared a video of the early November rescue of Zion, an indoor cat that ran out of its family's home during a party.

Zion managed to strand itself halfway down a 100-foot sheer cliff, so SMART team members Annette Ramirez and Gaby Lera rappelled over the cliff to reach the feline.

SMART said the cat was successfully rescued and was returned to its family without any serious injuries.
