VIDEO: Wild fox plays with dog at public park in Scotland

(UPI) A man taking his dog for a walk in a Scottish park captured video of the canine playing with a wild fox after both animals apparently mistook each other for the same species.
Kris McDonald said he was walking his dog, Cricket, in Glasgow's Dowanhill Park when they came across a fox.
McDonald said the fox's intentions appeared friendly, so he let Cricket off her leash and the two animals started to play.
The dog owner captured video of Cricket and the fox taking turns chasing one another around the park. The video shows the fox come close to restart the chase after Cricket stopped for a rest.
McDonald said Cricket bears a strong resemblance to a fox, leading him to believe the wild animal believed his pet to be a member of its own species. He said Cricket also seemed to believe the fox was just another dog.
