DALLAS - For the past 10 years, Arlington shoppers have been visiting the seasonal Texas Christkindl Market for all their Christmas needs. However, this year it will be a little different.
The market announced last week on Facebook that the show will go on, but in an online format this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. From Nov. 27 to Dec. 23, the market's website and social media channels will be open.
Decorations and gifts will be available from various vendors on the website. There will also be online experiences, such as a crash course on how to create German holiday treats and recipes with video demonstrations.
Entertainment won't be in short supply at the virtual market, with live performances from local choirs and dancers set to be broadcast on social media. Children - and children at heart - can even get a surprise message from Santa Claus throughout the market's run.
