GM to shift hundreds more temporary workers to full-time

--At Flint Assembly, where GM builds its heavy-duty pickups, 255 temps became permanent.

--At Lansing Delta Township, where GM builds its midsize SUVS, 103 temps.

--At Fort Wayne Assembly in Indiana, where GM builds its light-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups, 148 temps.

--At GM's smaller plants such as Bedford Casting Operations in Indiana, 17 temps.

--At Michigan's Saginaw Metal Casting Operations, 14 temps.

Overall, here are the 14 GM facilities across eight states where temps have been or will be made permanent, said a person familiar with the plan.

 

--Arlington Assembly in Texas.

--Fort Wayne Assembly and Bedford Casting Operations, both in Indiana

--Bowling Green Assembly in Kentucky

--Fairfax Assembly in Kansas
