(UPI) Multiple cougar sightings have been made in Kennewick, Wash., over the last three days.

The Kennewick Police Department and the Benton Country Sheriff's Office responded to a cougar sighting on Sunday morning after a woman said she saw one on her live security system.

Authorities were unable to find evidence of a cougar after searching the area.

The second sighting happened after residents saw a cougar jump into a nearby pool in the area.

"Officers responded to check the area and located cougar prints in the dirt. Our partners at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife were notified of the incident," the Kennewick Police Department said about the swimming cougar on Facebook.

In March, residents of a California neighborhood were surprised to see a mountain lion hanging out in their back yard before it started swimming across a lake.
