Kitten rescued from between concrete walls in Los Angeles

(UPI) Animal rescuers in Los Angeles used a custom pole to rescue a kitten found trapped between two cement walls near the city's downtown.
Los Angeles Animal Services said a Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team responded Monday when the cat was reported wedged in the narrow gap between the walls.
A video shared by the agency shows SMART team members Ernesto Poblano and Jennielee Greslie using a custom "flex pole" to reach the kitten.
The kitten was given a foster home by the South LA Animal Service Center, officials said.
