(UPI) A North Carolina man who begrudgingly bought a lottery ticket for his wife said he is done with the eye rolling after winning $390,000.

Darrin Nunnery of Linden told North Carolina Education Lottery officials he rolled his eyes on Monday when he left his home to go to the store and his wife shouted for him to buy her a Lucky for Life lottery ticket.

Nunnery said he begrudgingly gave in to his wife's request and bought her a ticket at the Exprezit store in Cumberland County.

He said his wife silenced his objections Tuesday morning when she called him and asked, "Do you feel lucky?"

Nunnery said he was confused by the question until she explained they had matched five numbers on the ticket, earning them $25,000 a year for life.

"I told her, the rolling my eyes is over," Nunnery said.

The family took the $390,000 lump sum option for the money, which came out to $274,954 after required tax withholdings.
