Forgotten lottery ticket in glove compartment was worth $100,000

(UPI) A man cleaning out his glove compartment stumbled upon a most welcome surprise -- a winning Virginia Lottery ticket from nearly four months ago.
James Wright of Henderson, N.C., said he was cleaning out the glove compartment in his truck when he discovered a Virginia Lottery Cash 5 ticket he'd purchased across the border at the Bracey Slip-In in Bracey, Va., and subsequently forgotten about.
Wright said he checked his numbers, 12-16-18-24-27, and discovered he had won $100,000 in the Nov. 12 drawing.
"You've been riding around with that thing in your truck!" Wright's wife, Linda, recalled exclaiming.
The couple said they plan to use their winnings to pay bills and make some home improvements.
