Amusement park ride strands passengers upside-down

(UPI) Patrons at a Chinese theme park had to be rescued when the ride they were on broke down while they were hanging upside-down.
A video recorded Sunday at the amusement park in Neijiang, Sichuan Province, shows passengers stranded upside down.
Witnesses said the swinging arm-style ride malfunctioned in mid-ride, leaving the riders stuck upside-down.
The witnesses said the riders were only trapped for a few minutes until employees managed to rescue them.
The cause of the ride malfunction is under investigation.
