(UPI) A dog that gave her owner the slip while out on a morning walk made her way through the busy streets of Chicago and showed up alone at her doggie daycare.

The Canine Social Club in Chicago said workers were perplexed Tuesday morning when a "frequent daycare guest," a Malamute named Izabella, followed another customer in through the front doors without her collar, tags or any sign of her owner.

Linda Zimmer, the canine's owner, said Izabella had slipped out of her harness while walking about 15 minutes before she showed up at the Canine Social Club.

The front desk manager, who recognized Izabella, called Zimmer and told her the dog had arrived safely on her own.

"She's my baby. She's 15 months old," Zimmer told WFLD/WPWR.

Izabella enjoyed some breakfast and playtime at the daycare while Zimmer rushed to the facility for a reunion.

"Very emotional. I was crying because I didn't know what had happened to her," Zimmer said.

Zimmer said Izabella would have had to cross some busy and dangerous Northside streets in order to reach the Canine Social Club.
