(UPI) Authorities in Florida responded to a community pool where they "arrested" an alligator spotted taking an unauthorized swim.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office posted photos to Facebook showing the unwanted visitor to the Meadowcrest community pool on Thursday.

The sheriff's office said Deputy/Field Training Officer Dale Johnson "arrested" the approximately 3-foot-long alligator after a few minutes of trying to fish the reptile out of the pool.

The alligator was turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
