Soggy wombat fished out of storm drain in Australia

Published in Weird News

(UPI) Animal rescuers in Australia responded to a street in the capital city of Canberra, where a soggy wombat had become stuck in a storm drain.

The Australia Capital Territory Parks and Conservation Service posted a video to Facebook, showing a wildlife officer herding the wet wombat into a crate for transport.

The woman jingles her keys behind the wombat's back to inspire it to walk forward into the crate.
