Raccoon rescued from New York state dumpster
Published in Weird News
(UPI) A New York state man used a ladder to rescue a shy raccoon that ended up trapped in a dumpster while foraging for food.
A video recorded Nov. 2 at a large dumpster in Rochester shows the man attempting to coax the raccoon into climbing the ladder like a ramp to get out of the deep trash receptacle.
The reluctant trash panda eventually climbs the ladder slowly before quickly climbing a nearby fence and returning to the wild.
"Raccoon was sleeping in the dumpster when I took my trash out. He couldn't get out on his own, so I put a ladder in to assist. He made his way out, over the fence, and into the woods," the filmer wrote.
