Man rope swings into Florida river, nearly lands on alligator

(UPI) A man who performed a rope swing jump into a Florida river with a camera strapped to his head didn't realize until later that he almost landed on an alligator.
Dave Salem said a friend strapped his GoPro to his head before doing a rope swing jump into the Loxahatchee River earlier this year and they didn't realize until reviewing the footage that his friend almost collided with an alligator underwater.
The video offers a brief but clear glimpse of the alligator swimming in the murky waters uncomfortably close to the man.
"It wasn't 'til looking at the footage that we noticed it," Salem told Nine News. We were freaking out once we saw the footage but the alligator looked like it wanted to get away from us instead of harming us.
