HOUSTON (UPI) -- A Texas skydiving instructor is being applauded after a security camera recorded him saving a falling toddler with a one-handed catch.

Security cameras at iFLY in Houston shows Jesse Leos helping some customers at the counter Wednesday night when a toddler standing on the counter tumbles backward.

Leos reaches out an arm and catches the boy before his head hits the ground.

"Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a kid start to fall off the counter. It all happened really quickly, and the next thing I know, I'm holding the kid in my arms and the dad and I are looking at each other," Leos told KTRK-TV.

The video shows Leos flexing toward the security camera and giving a thumbs-up after returning the toddler to his parents.

"It ended well, so I took time to flex and pose for the camera a little bit, make my buddies laugh," he said.

Leos said skydiving and time in the wind tunnel have honed his reflexes.

"You're always on your game right when you're either in the wind tunnel or in the sky, but I guess some of that obviously bleeds over to outside the wind tunnel," he told KPRC-TV.
