'Edge of the World Swing' suspended 300 feet over Amsterdam
Published in Weird News
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (UPI) -- A swing attached to a building in Amsterdam is being touted as Europe's highest, with a distance of more than 300 feet between it and the ground below.
A video filmed Jan. 13 shows the "Edge of the World" swing attached to the new A'DAM Lookout in action as terrified tourists take a ride.
"After a very fast lift ride you are strapped into the swing before being hoisted up a few more meters," the filmer wrote online. Then it begins to sway and you are swung out over the edge with nothing but air between you and the pavement 100m [328 feet] below.
