Australian beach visitor captures rare video of koala swimming

SHOREHAM, Australia (UPI) -- A visitor to an Australian beach captured video of a koala displaying some very unusual behavior: swimming in the ocean.
A video recorded Tuesday at Shoreham Beach in Victoria shows a koala wading into the water and taking a swim.
The filmer said it is "very very rare" to see a koala swimming in the ocean.
A video recorded last year at the Barham Riverin Victoria shows a man wade into the water to rescue a koala he saw struggling to keep its head above the water.
