BASCOBEL, Wis. (UPI) -- A Wisconsin sheriff's office shared video of a deputy and a local police officer coming to the rescue of a deer that got stuck on a fence.

The video, posted to Facebook by the Grant County Sheriff's Office, shows Deputy Keller and Boscobel Police Department Officer Mathews responding to a scene where a deer's back legs were stuck on a fence after an apparent attempt to jump over it.

The dashcam video shows the officer and deputy lifting the deer's back legs to allow it to get itself the rest of the way over the fence.

"Once released, the deer was then able to jump back over the fence and continue up the hill near the Boscobel Cemetery. The deer appeared to be uninjured," the post said.
