BONDURANT, Iowa (UPI) -- An Iowa woman who purchased a lottery ticket from a grocery store said it took her a while to convince her husband they had won the $202.1 million jackpot.

Mary and Brian Lohse of Bondurant said Mary bought the Powerball ticket last week at Casey's General Store and it took her a while after the drawing to realize she had won, ABC News reported Friday.

"I have the last three numbers and I was like, 'Well, crap, I think I won at least 100 bucks," Mary Lohse said. She said it took her a few more minutes to realize all of her numbers matched.

However, she said it was even more difficult to convince her husband, who was on a business trip, that she was holding a winning lottery ticket.

Brian Lohse said he didn't start to take his wife seriously until she asked him for directions to their attorney's office.

"I figured perhaps she wasn't pulling my leg," he said.

The couple, the sole winners of the jackpot, said they opted for the lump sum payment when they claimed their winnings Thursday, reducing the payout to $129.8 million, or $90.9 million after taxes.
