Ask Stacy for March 17-18, 2018

Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith on

DEAR STACY: Can you tell me whether Katy Perry and Josh Groban were once romantically involved, as a friend at work says? -- VML, Baltimore

DEAR VML: Last summer, in a conversation with James Corden, Perry ID'd Groban as the inspiration for her 2010 song, "The One that Got Away." Corden had asked her to rank her famous beaus (Orlando Bloom, John Mayer and Diplo) by their performance in bed, and she answered with a laugh that Groban was also in there. Then, she amended, "No, he's not in there. But I do want to say, people are like, who is 'The One That Got Away' about? That's Groban...He's one of my good friends." Groban was more coy about their relationship: "We might have skated on the line of dating." He also has said they got along well "because we're both goofballs." It would be fun to hear them sing together.

DEAR STACY: Any word on when the next Enya album will be out? -- Jancey

DEAR Jancey: Sorry, but no. The 56-year-old singer is in the midst of one of her reclusive periods. She made a Christmas time television appearance in Ireland in 2016, but there have been no new releases since her "Dark Sky Island" album of 2015.

DEAR STACY: Please settle a bet. Isn't that Jon Hamm narrating on the Mercedes-Benz GLA commercial with the couple who feel so guilty about their good deal they are afraid of police behind them on the road? -- Lcahill

DEAR Lcahill: It is. Hamm has been doing Mercedes commercial voiceovers since 2010.

DEAR STACY: What is the classical music playing in the movie "Witness" in the scene where they are building the barn? -- PamM1982

DEAR PAMm1982: That music was written by the late Oscar-winning ("Lawrence of Arabia," "Doctor Zhivago," "A Passage to India") French composer Maurice Jarre as part of his score for the film.
