Ask Stacy for Oct. 14-15, 2017

Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith on

DEAR STACY: I greatly admired the way Ariana Grande returned to Manchester, England following the bombing of her concert there and did a fundraiser. What is next for her? -- RGE

DEAR RGE: Grande, who recently wrapped the "Dangerous Woman" world tour of which that ill-fated Manchester date was a part, has said she's going to rest a little bit and pay attention to her own health. She told Glamour magazine that the terror attack at her concert, which took the lives of 22 back in May, was the most traumatic thing she had ever gone through. Returning to defiantly prove she would not let terror win, Grande raised more than $13 million with her subsequent benefit, which included Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.

DEAR STACY: How is Jimmy Kimmel's son doing? -- Jace2016

DEAR JACE: Six-month-old Billy Kimmel is "doing great" according to his father, and he certainly looks as if he is thriving, to judge by his appearance in snapshots posted online by his dad and mom, "Jimmy Kimmel Show" head writer Molly McNearney, as well as his red carpet foray at the L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade charity event at UCLA last month. Billy underwent heart surgery as a newborn because "Basically, the pulmonary valve was completely blocked and he has a hole in the wall between the left and right sides of his heart," Kimmel described. He has more surgery in his future. The Kimmels are looking forward to getting it over with.

DEAR STACY: What can you tell me about the "Star is Born" remake with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper? -- BDSwink

DEAR BDSwink: May 18, 2018 is now the release date scheduled for the flick that also marks Cooper's feature directing debut. Sam Elliott and Andrew Dice Clay also star in the familiar-yet-modernized story of a performer on her way up in show business who is helped by her love, who turns out to be on his way down. Gaga is using her given name, Stefani Germanotta, in the credits.

----

DEAR STACY: Is it true that Tom Hanks is a descendant if Abraham Lincoln? -- KenJen

DEAR KenJen: Not a descendant, but the Hollywood icon is a distant relative of Lincoln's through Abe's mother, Nancy Hanks' family tree. Reportedly, Hanks is a third cousin, four times removed of old Honest Abe.
