Clair de Lunar

Arguably, the stars are always aligned. It's just that some of the alignments are bright, predictable and upbeat like pop music and other alignments have the chaotic pulses of a genre like noise rock or fusion jazz. Lunar squares suggest today's cosmic soundtrack sings a soft slow-burn of longing reminiscent of Debussy.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Everything works out. Whatever is bothering you will be resolved, maybe even by tomorrow, so don't waste your day worrying about it. Do something else and let the Universe unravel the problem without you for a bit.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Though you may attempt to stay under the radar, it probably won't work. People notice you. It is certainly a compliment. As a side effect, you may get some nosy questions, which you'll field with your usual good humor.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Those who skip the formalities of etiquette only leave room for you to shine. Sending a thank-you note or knowing the proper way to make introductions will make an impression and give you a winning edge with people.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You know you need to raise your mood, but it feels like there are no good options. That's because your mind needs an assignment. Tell it to come up with three activities that make you happy and then order your body to do them.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Getting more love flowing through your life may have nothing to do with dating or romance. Love comes in many forms now, like through compassion for humanity at large, or harmony among family and friends.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The one who takes full responsibility for a problem has the power to do something about it. The one who takes some responsibility has a little sway -- that's it. Even if you're working with others, act as though this is all yours to solve.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You don't like to come off as nosy, if for no other reason than it's just not a cool look. However, you also don't like vague answers to your questions. You'll have to dig a little deeper to get the full story.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Relationships are a cornerstone of your well-being, and no structure has just one. Spread the love around to avoid putting too much pressure on one relationship. You walk together a while, and yet each is on their own path.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). With your upbeat attitude, you're an asset to the group. When you're not sure what to say, a smile says it all. Your wordless support and quiet respect will be strongly felt. It's one of the reasons you have so many friends.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). This situation won't change as much or as quickly as you need it to. Accept it and build from there or move on now. Decisive action gives you power, as does a willingness to work with reality as it is, not as you want it to be.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You could do this alone, but a supportive and exciting interaction with one or two others will give energy to the endeavor. This is true even if the process is a bit difficult or even maddening. Diversity is strength.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You'll be seen and listened to. Assume you will be asked to speak and be ready. If you go so far as to practice in front of a mirror, you may feel a little silly about it, but you won't be sorry you did.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Jan. 19). Remember what you wanted things to be like when you didn't know better? You'll finally make that happen. More highlights: creating something you're really proud of and getting several signals from the universe that you are on the right track -- what solace! Sure-footed you'll run to embrace your destiny. Scorpio and Aquarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 14, 4, 20, 7 and 17.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Buried under Dollywood is a time capsule that includes a never-before-released song by Dolly Parton, which is intended to be dug up and played in 2045. Parton will be 99. The Queen of Country Music grew up with 12 brothers and sisters in a one-room cabin and used the inspiration to write heartfelt, chart-busting hits. She was born under a Capricorn sun with a Moon in entertaining Leo.
