White to Play

We're not quite sure what to tell you by way of a hint. White does mate here, although the longest line goes thirteen moves. There's a neatly wrapped up mate in five if Black is agreeable. In any event all good lines lead to mate, and you're going to have a lot of fun with rooks and knight.

Solution:

For a change, we give the shortest line as the main line because it's cute. The other lines are geometrically pleasing as well, especially the cooperation of the rook and knight. From a study by F. J. Neale
