White to Play

Pete Tamburro on

Published in Chess Puzzles

A handy little endgame lesson to learn. White can save himself here. How?

When you’re on the losing side, you always look for stalemate possibilities: 1.c8=Q+ Rxc8 2.b7 Rc7 3.Ka8 Rxb7 Can’t let White queen the pawn. Stalemate. Draw.
