White to Play

Pete Tamburro on

Published in Chess Puzzles

Sometimes, chess is simple.

There is only one move that wins, but it’s enough. The logic of it is that White must prevent the black knight from going to c4. 1.Bd5 [1.Bb7 Nc4 2.a7 Nb6; 1.a7 Nc4] 1...exd5 2.a7 and the pawn queens.
