Not every chess game ends in mate. In fact, the large majority don’t. The other way that is far more frequent is the winning of substantial material so your opponent resigns. That’s your task here. Win material so your opponent will resign.


Luther encouraged the resignation of Olape at the Olympiad in 2010 with this sequence: 1.Ba6 Qd7 (not 1…Qxa6 2.Qxe6 mate) 2.Qf3+ and wins the exchange.
