Black to Play and Help White Mate!

Yet another variation of the types of problems in Fairy Chess. Here, Black is to move first and, along with White, conspire to mate Black on white’s third move. The simplicity of the position with its minimal number of pieces is a fine introduction to helpmates.


This composition by P. Sola appeared in Fairy Chess Review in November of 1939. 1... e1=B 2. Ne3 Bf2 3. Nd5 Ba7 4. Nc7#
