  You ignore it! Always look for that possibility when you have an attacking position. 1.Bxh7+!! Nxh7 2.Qg6 fxe5 Here's why the knight has to go: 2...Rf8 3.Nh5 Rf7 4.Qxf7+ Kh8 5.Qxg7# 3.Qxe8+ Bf8 OK, Black has a bishop and knight for a rook and hopes to mount a defense, but White gets an open f-file with an active rook! 4.fxe5 Nb6 Equally futile was 4...Qd2 5.Nh5 Qxb2 (5...Qxe3+ 6.Kh1 Qh6 7.Qf7+ Kh8 8.Nf4 Ng5 9.Ng6+ Kh7 10.Nxf8+ Nxf8 11.Qxf8) 6.Rxf8+ Nhxf8 7.Qe7 Qxa1+ 8.Kf2 Qb2+ 9.Kg3 5.Nh5 Bd7 6.Rxf8+ Nxf8 7.Qe7 and is no stopping mate in two. 1–0
