For those of you who shy away from composed mates, this is a good one to try. A few pieces and a simple process of elimination. Composed by J. Telkes.


If you quickly eliminated the knight, pawn and king and then noticed where the queen could go to deliver a check and maybe mate on the next move, then you did well! 1.Qe3 Bf6 [1...Bd4 2.Qe6#; 1...Bd6 2.Qe4#] 2.Qc5#
