Freaky Friday here! Believe it or not, it’s a mate in 6! Why so long? The catch is that White can only move the king.


This is a great lesson for young kids in diagonal and horizontal opposition 1.Kc5 Kd7 2.Kb5 Kc7 [ or 2...Ke7, doesn’t really matter] 3.Ka6 Kd7 4.Kb7 Ke7 5.Kc8 Kf8 6.Kd7# From Berliner Schachzeitung, according to Staunton in his column in 1851.
