Our last king and pawn ending for the week demonstrates two lessons from Letelier-Cobo, 1966.

1.a4 Ke5 2.b4 Kxd5 3.g5 c5 4.g6 Ke6 5.g7 Black Resigned because of 5...Kf7 6.a5 c4 [6...cxb4 7.axb6] 7.axb6 c3 8.b7 c2 9.g8Q+ Kxg8 10.b8Q+. Creating distant passed pawns is one lesson, but note that this works because White queens with check, which makes all the difference.
