White to Play

Another study by Prokes, but this one is a little longer.

White’s ability to make the Black king work to get down the board and to get his own king up the board is great, as is the cooperation of knight and bishop. One note: White later does not take the knight because not taking it is shorter! Anyhow, how many of you can force a mate with B+N+K vs. K? 1.f6 e5 2.f7 Ng6 3.Bd7 Nf8 4.Bf5 Kd2 5.Kb3 Ke2 6.Be4 Kf2 7.Kc4 Kg3 8.Kd5 Kf4 9.Bd3 Kg5 10.Kxe5 Kh6 11.Kd6 Kg7 12.Ke7 Nd7 13.Ne3 Nf8 14.Nf5+ Kh8 15.Kxf8 Kh7 16.Ke8 Kg6 17.f8Q
