Solution:

First, you have to know about the opposition. If you take the pawn, you lose: 1...Kxg7 2.Kxg5 (gaining the opposition) Kg8 [2...Kf7 3.Kh6]3.Kg6 Kh8 4.g5 Kg8 5.Kh6 Kh8 6.g6 Kg8 7.g7.The right way is 1...Kh7 2.Kxg5 [2.Kf6 Kg8 3.Kxg5 Kxg7 4.Kf5 Kf7 5.g5 Kg7 6.g6 Kg8 7.Kf6 Kf8 8.g7+ Kg8]2...Kxg7 3.Kf5 Kf7 4.g5 Kg7 5.g6 Kg8 6.Kf6 Kf8 and draws.
