This is an instructive little lesson on back rank mates, pins and interference—a three for one special: The quickest thematic mates are 1.Bd6! Rxd6 [1...Qxb3 2.Rf8#; 1...Qc4 2.Rf8#; 1...Ng5 2.Rf8#] 2.Qb8+ Rd8 3.Qxd8+ Qe8 4.Qxe8#
