New on DVD: Nintendo icons get another life in 'The Super Mario Galaxy Movie'

A powered-up sequel based on a beloved video game franchise tops the DVD releases for the week of June 16.
"The Super Mario Galaxy Movie": The Mario gang set out for outer space to find and rescue Princess Peach's long-lost sister Princess Rosalina in this follow-up to the 2023 animated hit.
"This breathless, busy sci-fi adventure ram-jams through space, time and the past 50 years of popular cinema history as our characters bop from planet to planet, making various stops and side quests," writes Tribune News Service critic Katie Walsh in her review. "First it feels kinda 'Indiana Jones,' then it gets a little 'Blade Runner.' We have a quick nod to 'Jurassic Park' before it goes full 'Star Wars,' especially with the introduction of Fox McCloud (Glen Powell), a rakish space pilot with a decidedly Han Solo swagger."
NEW ON DVD JUNE 16
"Scream 7": Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) contends with another Ghostface killer terrorizing her home, family and teenage daughter in the horror franchise's latest entry.
"Ready or Not 2: Here I Come": In this sequel to the 2019 flick, a young woman (Samara Weaving) and her sister (Kathryn Newton) have to outlive the murderous attempts of a satanic billionaire cult in a bloody game of hide-and-seek.
"You, Me & Tuscany": A young American woman goes on a spontaneous trip to Italy and falls in love, after many misunderstandings, in this rom-com starring Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page.
"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season": This “Game of Thrones” prequel, taking place a century before that series’ events, is based on author George R.R. Martin’s novella “Tales of Dunk and Egg,” the story of a lowborn knight and his child squire.
"Dark Winds: Season 4": AMC's adaptation of Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novels, with their stories of the Navajo Tribal Police in the 1970s, continues with a fourth season about a missing Navajo girl, which takes our investigators out of their usual setting and sends them to the underbelly of organized crime in Los Angeles. Starring Zahn McClarnon.
"Hamilton": Recorded performance of the popular Broadway musical with a cast that includes Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Groff, Leslie Odom Jr. and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
