Nicola Roberts has announced the birth of her first child.
Revealing she and fiancé Mitch Hahn have welcomed a baby daughter just months after the Girls Aloud star underwent surgery during pregnancy to help keep her baby "in", Nicola, 40, shared the news on Instagram on Sunday (24.05.26) alongside a series of photographs showing the singer cradling her newborn daughter and Mitch, 37, leaving hospital carrying the baby.
The singer - best known as a member of chart-topping pop group Girls Aloud - said her daughter arrived "a couple of weeks ago" at 38 weeks weighing 6.5lbs.
She captioned her images of the new arrival on Instagram: "Our beautiful baby girl is here. We haven't stopped staring at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head.
"She arrived healthy and content a couple of weeks ago at 38 weeks weighing 6.5lbs and is thriving. It's heaven on earth with her and we can hardly believe she's ours."
Nicola's announcement comes amid renewed public interest in Girls Aloud following the group's recent reunion tour, which paid tribute to Sarah Harding after her death from breast cancer in 2021 aged 39.
The singer had previously revealed she required surgery at 22 weeks pregnant and had been ordered to rest during the final trimester while appearing in West End production Hadestown.
Nicola has now become the final member of Girls Aloud to become a mother.
Cheryl Cole had son Bear with late One Direction singer Liam Payne, who died in October 2024, while Kimberley Walsh and husband Justin Scott are parents to sons Bobby, Cole and Nate.
Nadine Coyle shares daughter Anaíya, with former NFL player Jason Bell.
Earlier this year, Nicola revealed she had been forced to withdraw from her final performances as Persephone in West End musical Hadestown at London's Lyric Theatre after undergoing surgery during the pregnancy.
Nicola said on social media: "Some pics I took this week.. Hasn't it been so nice to really feel spring.
"I've been under instruction not to do much since I had the surgery at 22 weeks to help keep baby in. Hitting that 34 week mark was a big relief."
"I now only have a few weeks left. Safe to say, this last bit is not the easiest is it?! In one breath, it will be nice to feel more comfortable again but I will also really miss my bump and having this tiny little thing in there."
Nicola first announced her pregnancy on Christmas Day, telling followers she and Mitch had "been keeping a secret".
She said: "Mitch and I have had the most magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families.
"We've been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can't wait to meet our little one in the spring x."
Nicola and Mitch got engaged during a holiday in the south of France in 2024, with the singer later debuting her diamond engagement ring while performing at Brighton Pride alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates.
According to reports, Mitch proposed during a romantic trip abroad after the pair had been together for more than two years.
Mitch, an accountant and semi-professional footballer, previously captained Great Britain's squad at the European Maccabi Games in Israel and played for Essex side Grays Athletic.
He was first photographed publicly with Nicola at an Elton John concert in 2022.
