Madonna reportedly took a private chef on board a transatlantic British Airways flight.

The 67-year-old singer - whose recent Celebration Tour revisited four decades of hits including Like A Prayer, Material Girl and Into The Groove - reportedly flew from Los Angeles to London Heathrow last month with former footballer boyfriend Akeem Morris, 30, and her own cook, in an apparent sign she is extending her reputation for exacting standards beyond the stage.

The chef is said by The Sun on Sunday to have prepared sushi for the pair before their 11‑hour journey to the UK.

A source told the publication: "Madonna is strict about her lifestyle and avoids processed foods. She has the luxury of taking her private chef when travelling. He knows exactly what she eats to ensure she is sufficiently nourished when travelling between timezones."

Madonna - born Madonna Louis Ciccone - has recently been photographed with Akeem at high‑profile events including the Met Gala and on international trips following the conclusion of The Celebration Tour.

She is understood to follow a strict macrobiotic diet.

The regimen, which is favoured by A‑listers including actress Gwyneth Paltrow, typically cuts out sugar, caffeine, alcohol and processed items in favour of fruit, vegetables and protein.

Functional nutritionist Pauline Cox previously told The Sun: "Madonna has a carefully planned diet that allows her to carry on performing at a high level. She eats complex carbohydrates - brown rice, beans and oats - for slow energy release."

Reports have described Akeem as a former footballer and coach who has been accompanying Madonna on her recent travels, with coverage of their relationship intensifying alongside renewed focus on her back catalogue after The Celebration Tour highlighted songs such as Vogue, Hung Up and Holiday.

The long‑running show, staged across multiple continents, was billed as a live retrospective of her career.

The Sun previously reported Madonna turned into a night owl for a new music video, filming between 5pm and 2am as part of ongoing recording and visual projects following her tour.

She is set to premiere the 10‑minute film - built around the first six tracks from her forthcoming album, Confessions II, due out on 3 July - at the Beacon Theatre during the Tribeca Festival in New York on 5 June.

Widely dubbed the "Queen of Pop", US-born Madonna rose from New York's early‑80s club scene.

She broke through with hits such as Like a Virgin and Like a Prayer, blending pop hooks with provocative imagery and MTV‑defining videos.

She reinvented herself with albums including Ray of Light and Confessions on a Dance Floor, blurring the lines between fashion, dance and visual storytelling in pop.

Beyond music, she has acted in films including the provocative erotic thriller Body of Evidence, as well as Desperately Seeking Susan and Evita, and directed features and authored children's books.
