NEW YORK — Ben Affleck is forward to the future as he settles into his new home amid prevailing reported tensions just two years into his marriage to Jennifer Lopez.

The 51-year-old Oscar winner is “hopeful” after moving into his new $20.5 million five-bedroom Los Angeles estate, an insider told Entertainment Tonight.

“Ben really likes his new home and feels hopeful about the change,” said the source, which comes after previous reports said he closed escrow during Lopez’s 55th birthday last week.

“He wanted to move and be closer to [ex-wife] Jen Garner and their kids to make co-parenting easier,” the insider continued. “It’s been a hard time for him, but he’s continuing to make his well-being and his family a priority.”

The Bronx native’s July 24th birthday — which she celebrated away from Affleck in the Hamptons — also marked the day she finalized the sale on her New York City penthouse.

In June, TMZ reported that the couple was “having issues” and trying to sell their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion — which they publicly listed last month for $68 million, per People.

Lopez and Affleck were engaged in the early 2000s before a highly publicized split and whirlwind marriages to Marc Anthony and Garner, respectively. The A-listers, who each have children from those relationships, reconciled in 2021 and wed in July of the following year.

Both stars have been spotted numerous times wearing their wedding rings even as they spent her birthday, the Fourth of July and their second anniversary apart, despite the pop star canceling her summer tour ‘to be with her children, family and close friends.”

An insider recently told People that, while the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer’s “summer isn’t exactly what she originally had planned … she’s making the best of it.”

The pair, whose issues are said to run much “deeper” than differing approaches to fame, are reportedly “focused on their separate lives” these days.
