"Days of Our Lives"' Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow) is going to make a drive-through stop this week. Sixteen different actors have played him. As the grandson of Alice and Tom, he was a major player. Wesley Eure played him as a troubled teen; then Michael T. Weiss took over. Critchlow was the latest actor to take on the part. We last saw Mike over 10 years ago when he attended his grandmother's funeral. Other than his "Days" gig, the actor has been busy with primetime and movies. Critchlow says returning to the set was like a time tunnel. The actor says he always has a good time when he comes back. The character of Mike may be the original "you're my uncle; no, you're my father" character. For years, he thought Mickey was his father, but in fact his Uncle Bill was his dad. In true soap opera fashion, the truth came out when Mike needed a blood transfusion after a car he was working on slipped off the jack and crushed him.

Trevor St. John has begun his role as Tucker McCall on "The Young and the Restless." St. John's last soap gig was on "One Life to Live." Tucker is Devon's biological dad, grandson of the late Katherine. He has had business dealings with Victor and a love affair with Ashley. St. John told Soap Opera Digest that meeting up with Peter Bergman (Jack) has been a highlight. Bergman, who is one of the good guys, helped him navigate his new surroundings.

Katie Couric has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She posted that she got the diagnosis in June and is undergoing treatment. Sadly, Couric is no stranger to cancer. Her first husband, Jay, was diagnosed with colon cancer when he was 42 and died nine months later. His mother died of cancer several months later. She also lost her sister to cancer. Couric says she always gets a yearly mammogram. This past year, she skipped it. When she realized she had not had the test, she took it. She is thankful that she took it this year, since it was caught in the early stages. Couric urges everyone to take the lifesaving test.

It was decades in the making, but it was worth the wait. "General Hospital"'s Anna and Valentin finally got it on and it was hot, hot, hot. Finola Hughes and James Patrick Stuart were magical. Anna has been a forging agent for both sides. She is now on the good-guy mode. As for Valentin, he has a sad past. Disfigured as a child, he was literally locked away. "GH" teamed with Shriners Hospital. Shriners Hospital helps children deal with multiple maladies. Valentin is now in good health and is Victor Cassadine's son.
