'TOP GUN: MAVERICK'
Rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action, and some strong language.
What it’s about: The long-awaited sequel to "Top Gun" finds Maverick returning to flight school to teach the new naval aviators a thing or two about flying.
The kid attractor factor: Older kids and teens may be drawn to the high-flying action adventure.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Don't think, just act ... it's necessary for dogfighting in fighter jets, but sometimes, a little rumination on the years is a good thing.
Violence: Some perilous fighter jet action sequences involving fiery crashes and other intense and dangerous situations.
Language: Some strong language, though it's not pervasive.
Sex: An implied sex scene but no nudity.
Parents’ advisory: This action film is too scary for little kids but a fun adventure for older kids and teens.
