1. Eye of the Hurricane

The eye of the hurricane is a little twist on a classic hurricane cocktail. And as the name suggests, it makes an impact! It’s boozy, sweet, and absolutely delicious.

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 oz Jack from Brooklyn Sorel Liqueur
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz light rum
  • 1 oz passion fruit juice
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (recipe below)
  • 1 teaspoon grenadine
  • Garnish: orange slice
  • Garnish: Maraschino cherries

How it’s made:

To make the simple syrup, you’ll need 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Put the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved and let cool.

Put your Sorel liqueur, dark rum, light rum, passion fruit juice, lime juice, orange juice, simple syrup, grenadine, and ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake until well-combined.

Strain into a hurricane glass (or a regular one) over ice. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.

2. Tequila Sunrise

Everybody loves a sunrise, so why not put it in your glass?

This beautiful drink has all the colors of a sunrise as well as a little tequila. It’s fruity, summery, and easy to make. And yes, it tastes as good as it looks.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 3/4 cups orange juice
  • 1/2 oz grenadine
  • Garnish: orange slice
  • Garnish: Maraschino cherries

How it’s made:

Pour the tequila and orange juice into a highball glass over ice. Put the grenadine in slowly, letting it sink to the bottom. This will create the “sunrise” effect.

Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.

3. Aperol Spritz

If you want to feel like you’re on an Italian vacation, you have to try an Aperol spritz.

Aperol is an Italian bitter apéritif that has a bright orange color. This vibrant and bubbly drink is common in the Northeastern region of Italy and has that refreshing taste you crave in summer.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 3 oz prosecco
  • 1 oz sparkling water
  • Garnish: orange slice

How it’s made:

Pour the Aperol, prosecco, and sparkling water into a wine glass over ice. Mix until well-combined. Garnish with an orange slice.
