(UPI) A Scottish zoo shared a photo of a cat that ended up in a dangerous situation when it fled some fireworks and ended up in the facility's Arctic wolf enclosure.

The Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder posted a photo to Facebook showing the distressed feline hiding from the wolves at the top of a tree after apparently fleeing from the sound of fireworks.

The zoo said the cat was rescued safely.

"Last Sunday we had an unexpected visitor in the wolf enclosure!" the post said. If you look closely at the photo, there is a black and white cat in one of the trees which was seen by a number of visitors. We would like to reassure everyone that after closing this area of to the wolves, the cat was encouraged down and was safe and well. With all the fireworks going off locally over the weekend it may have taken fright.
