Police: Woman claimed cocaine was doughnut
Police said Whitney Alison Holte, 21, of Knoxville told officers she had been eating a powdered doughnut when she was pulled over Jan. 21 in Alcoa, but a field test on the substance they noticed in and around her mouth tested positive for cocaine, The Knoxville (Tenn.) Times reported.
Holte was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II substance with intent to sell or deliver, driving on a suspended driver's license, driving without proof of insurance, failure to maintain her lane of traffic and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Blount County Jail in lieu of $12,250 total bond.
