DENVER (UPI) -- A Colorado golf course manager apologized to parents
whose children played in a youth tournament at the same time a strip
bar staged its own raucous tourney.
Evelyn Koch said she extended a "mea culpa" to the frazzled parents
whose young golfers were playing in a junior golf tournament Monday in
Broomfield, Colo., at the same time some 200 men and women took to the
links for Shotgun Willie's Charity Golf Tournament.
Shotgun Willie's tourney, according to KUSA-TV in Denver, included 144
golfers and 70 of the club's dancers who acted as flirtatious caddies
and, some parents allege, got a little raunchier while the youngsters
were trying to concentrate on their putting.
"I cannot tell you the girls didn't flash out there," Koch rtold
KUSA-TV "But it wasn't a free-for-all."
Koch blamed the culture clash on "miscommunication."
